I am a country girl who grew up outdoors fishing swimming in the river with her brothers. I adore reading and horseback riding. I am a mother to 4 amazing children who all hold equal shares of my heart along with their father whom I have been married to for 13yrs. When I became a mother I had such a need to document every second of each child's life that I could, and cherish every photo taken. I love that I can look back on each photo and feel all of the emotions that that moment held.

Now you will rarely find me without a camera! Photography is so much more than a job to me, it is a passion! It is my way of seeing and relating to each person that is in front of my lens.

I have always felt the passage of time, and the affection for and from other people strongly. Even as a young child I felt sentimental about time passing too quickly, didn’t want to grow up but just wanted to hold on to things, people and memories a little longer than time allowed. And that feeling only increases tenfold when you become a parent.

I am also a hopeless Romantic which is what led me to Wedding Photography... I want to show each couple, not just how beautiful they are on that day, or in this setting- but how incredibly beautiful their life and their love for each other is.  How there is nothing ordinary about them- and give them that gift of realizing it too.

I always get emotional at weddings when looking at the parents because I know they are seeing more than how beautiful the decor or flowers are...they are seeing their baby they spent late nights rocking, watched take their first steps, awkward haircuts and braces and lazy summer days where they didn’t do much of anything and now this woman stands before them fiddling with her dress, and it hits them. . . she’s all grown up.  She’s starting her own family today. And I feel it in my bones. And I want to capture some of that love with my camera.  So that they can see it too- in case they were too busy with the details of the day to realize just how strong that love is. I don’t know that I often am able to do that but I try and will keep trying.

Now that I've told you about me, it's your turn to tell me about you, and your story that has led up to one of the most important days in your life!
